  • About the Lost Songs Of Anatolia
Lost Songs Of Anatolia” is a musical documentary film,
a musical voyage among the exotic places and people of Anatolia, host of
ancient civilizations, empires, and mythologies over 10 millennia.
The result of 350 hours of footage over 8 years, Lost Songs of
Anatolia may be the first example of
    an experimental musical-documentary film.
The cultural riches of Anatolia are sung in authentic performances recorded
    live on location.

    The authentic performances are recorded
live on location spontaneously. With the modern arrangements made,
an incomparable musical is formed. Lost Songs Of Anatolia is directed by
Nezih Ünen, produced in 2007. After being shown in Istanbul and Antalya,
the film has been screened in many international film festivals like Montpellier,
Thessaloniki, Salento, Zagreb, Ghent, and Kosova. As a musical documentary
its concerts were staged in Istanbul, Izmir, Thessaloniki, Berlin and also
in Cannes Film Festival. In 2012 the movie was awarded as
The Best Musical Documentary in Santa Rosa.
